More children are waiting...
But none of this is possible without your support.
Yesterday a mentor asked me.
“Brian, why do you think I volunteer in different projects within my neighbourhood. It never pays off but everytime I am supposed to offer my services. I am always exicted about participating in the ongoing activity.”
I thought through this question and just as I was about to give her my response. Sparks of words followed from her not as instrusctions but as light bulbs for my head. They were not even an answer to the question she had just dropped into my boiling brains.
They were kind words for the leader she wants me to be.
The leader I now want to see myself grow into.
In less than 7 days.
40 children at a community library in Uganda will sit, watch plus listen to stories about Lake Victoria. So that as they grow through their journey in life, these stories can build up youth and adults that will love animals, adults that will protect plants adults that will take time to appreciate the danger that can arise when we don’t love what nature freely offers to us.
The leader I want to be will have alot of influnece on these children.
But imagine the leader they can become if they are more aware of their thoughts, emotions, and surroundings in a calm and non-judgmental way.
In less than 7 days.
We will stretch ourselves as volunteers beyond the comfort of what’s possible with limited resources but bring about positive lasting impact in the lives of children within the Lake Victoria basin.
Together with Rama Tadepalli
We will conduct a joint session appreciating practical environmental knowledge passed onto the future generation of leaders that can manage stress more effectively, build empathy in their interactions with others, and develop a healthier, more balanced relationship with their own emotions, laying a strong foundation for resilience and well-being as they grow.
But we can only do this with your support.
$30 USD → One child receives their own storybook + activity pack + a guided reading session.
$50 USD → 15 children each receive a storybook to take home and cherish.
$150 USD → 40 children each receive a storybook, multiplying the joy across an entire library.
